By now you probably saw our tail of woe – having our connection from Pittsburgh to St. Louis being canceled last minute and trying to make a last minute change to get home via DFW. That is one of many reasons Daddy prefers to drive, although the ensuing lost luggage (checked at the gate) also plays into it. Regardless, a Martini at Laguardia helped Daddy through the trip, and Carter was so good he didn’t mind at all. The album of our return trip is here.
Carter was lucky enough to have a whole day to spend with Granny. It started at Mommy’s favorite restaurant, Spice. We then went to The American Museum of Natural History and enjoyed looking around and pulling on mommy’s hair. It was a wonderful day and you can see the pictures here.

After hosting us in their Cabin all weekend, Uncle David and Aunt Trina were kind enough to host us at their house for a night. I think Carter enjoyed it most of all. Pictures here, guaranteed to be Mercury-free.
Uncle David & Aunt Trina were nice enough to host Carter and family in their vacation home in the Catskills. It was absolutely beautiful there. Everyone really enjoyed Carter, and his cousins Aiden and Bryce. Carter also really enjoyed meeting the Palumbo family and the big party that was thrown for him. Enjoy the pictures of our great weekend here.
Carter had one more person to meet, The Gov’na (aka granddad). After meeting, the five of us went to The Market Diner for a great dinner and some libations, enjoy the pictures. Carter was a trooper throughout the long day and eventually crashed.

Even though the point of the trip was for Carter to meet the Douglas’, Honigs and the Palumbos, a Benedict did sneak into New York so Carter got to meet Laura, his cousin once removed. Appropriate for a New York rendezvous, they first met at Grand Central Station, then everyone went to Chevy’s for drinks. You can see it all here.

Carter had the opportunity to meet his Great Aunt Lorraine. Just getting there was an adventure in and of itself, because it was Carter’s first ride in a taxi and his first train ride! We had a very nice visit. Carter got a lot of toys, then went to a very nice Chinese lunch, and then went clothes shopping. Finally, we got some professional photographs taken (sorry, not print-quality). It was a very nice visit!
Carter traveled very well, as I stated in other posts. He handled the airports, airplanes, and car service very well. You can now see this for yourself.
My parents came up for a very nice visit on Labor Day weekend. They helped us with some projects around the house, took us to the dog park, took out a kayak, watched me sail, and supported me in my triathlon efforts. My dad’s pictures are up here
