Carter is still doing really well. Mommy is understandably in some pain, but continues to do an amazing job. Carter will be making is homecoming later today. I am in good spirits, and know how to swaddle and change a diaper. Again, so many thanks to our friends and family who have provided such great support! We will get in touch with you soon, I promise. In the meantime, enjoy some of Grandpa’s photos or some of our photos from Carter’s second day alive.
In what is sure to be the first of many, please enjoy Carter’s first photo gallery
I am blogging from Progress West. At 9:00pm last night Kathy’s water broke. Granny & I took Kathy to the hospital. Kathy was in a lot of pain until she got the epideral, but the staff here has been amazing. The night really flew by. They quickly put us on Pitocin to induce labor. The contractions prior to the epideral and the epideral itself were quite painful, but we were able to nap for a little over an hour. The epideral is being dialed back and we should be ready for the main event soon!
Last chance to sail this year, and I sure enjoyed it! 76 degrees for the high, the big lake, a good breeze, and enough foliage to prove its November… absolutely beautiful. It was also nice to have a cabin boat come out and join us. It has been a fun season marked by meeting good friends and learning a skill that I always wanted to learn. What a year, look forward to the next.

Happy Halloween! Of course, with Carter on his way, we did not get to spend too much time decorating. We did get to deocrate a little bit so feel free to check out the pictures.
Our neighbor’s came over and watched Slacker Uprising by Michael Moore. I am usually get a lot out of Michael Moore’s films but this one was not as insightful. On the plus side, we got to hang out with our littlest neighbor, Isak.
