2011 Lake Saint Louis Biathalon
August 20th, 2011So, the weather did not cooperate, and the triathlon turned into a biathlon due to thunder. The delays made for an odd event, but the staff did well making the adjustments. Without my strongest event I knew it would be tougher. I was pleased with my bike leg, beating my 1:30 target @ 16mph. Even better because it was exceptionally windy due to the thunderstorm. I was more disappointed in my run, which was 7 minutes off my hour target. Wet shoes probably played a role, but next year I thin I need to work more on brick workouts and running shorter distances at race pace. Thanks to Kathy & Carter for all their support.
