St. Peters Rec-Plex Triathlon
Sunday, October 5th, 2008Well, I am a triathlon addict. I completed the St. Peter’s Rec-Plex Triathlon. I finished 12/43 in my age group and 106/424 overall. Fairly pleased since I had not been working out much. The bike route was very fast and I averaged over 17mph (MapMyTri thought i did 18mph)! My slowest swim so far, but I was being very conservative on the swim. Looking forward to next year… if I can squeeze in the workouts!
Forest Park date night
Sunday, September 28th, 2008
I started a new job at Mobile Armor. To celebrate the change, Kathy & I spent a nice night out in Forest Park. We walked around the Zoo and then took out a paddle boat from the Boathouse. These are two of our favorite places in St. Louis and they each are uniquely St. Louis. We capped off the evening with a great dinner at the Boathouse. One nice touch was that, while on the paddle boats, we stumbled across a live concert that was part of the Taste of St. Louis. The obligatory picture gallery is here.
Labor Day weekend
Monday, September 15th, 2008
My parents came up for a very nice visit on Labor Day weekend. They helped us with some projects around the house, took us to the dog park, took out a kayak, watched me sail, and supported me in my triathlon efforts. My dad’s pictures are up here
City Museum
Sunday, June 15th, 2008
Today, Kathy took me to the City Museum. Wow! That was a lot of fun. Strongly encourage you to bring your child there. As ours was not yet ready, we had to bring our inner-child. It was a blast! Hard to describe. The best description I have heard referring to it was a “surrealist landscape”, I would add “that begs to be explored.” Please enjoy the picture gallery here.
