First Thanksgiving

We had our first Thanksgiving day together as a family. My favorite was probably the walk. We took the easy way out regarding cooking, but we still had a nice meal. It was a little sad that we could not be with our families, but thanks to grandpa we were able to videoconference with them.
Carter’s first Ohio State - Michigan game

This viewing went much better than the last, and was everything I hoped it would be. Thanks to Carter’s cheering, the Buckeyes whooped up on the team up north, 42-7. I really enjoyed watching it with Carter, although he did sleep through a bit of the game.
Carter watches Law & Order

Carter’s life is not entirely dominated by watching Ohio State. Aside from such interests as pooping and eating, he enjoys watching an episode of Law & Order with his Mommy.
Carter’s first Ohio State game

Sad indeed. Carter wanted to watch the Ohio State vs. Illinos game with me, our first game watching together. I recorded it on our Charter Communications DVR… unfortunately the DVR decided to only to record the first quarter and we missed the rest of the game. Calls to Charter could not recover it, and I tried in vain to get it play from ESPN360.com. Unfortuantely, my internet is through CenturyTel who does not have an arrangement with ESPN360, and we had to miss the rest of the game. A frustrating experience, but it was softened by learning of our 30-20 victory.
Sailing Club awards ceremony
Friday, November 14th, 2008Well, the year ended with a nice awards ceremony. We were a little late, but decided to show up and make it Carter’s first public appearance. Hopefully noone minded, Carter sort of stole the show. I am officially on the board for the sailing club in 2009, which I look forward to. It is a great club and a great group and I want to help it continue to grow. I again want to thank everyone involved with the club for a great year, they truely are a special group. Carter’s first visit with the Pediatrician

We took Carter to see his pediatrician, Cecilia Yu. Once more, only good news. We are very blessed. We already greatly enjoy our relationship with Cecilia and we know that Carter is in good hands. Not suprisingly, there are some pictures from the visit.
