Mid-Ohio 2008
I was a bit slow in blogging this, but on June 28th I went to Mid-Ohio to watch vintage car racing. Even better, I was joined by just about my whole family! I had previously seen vintage races with my dad (including a great trip to Laguna Seca for the Monterey Historic races and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 2002). I also been to Mid-Ohio and Watkins Glen with my Uncle Tom. This was unique in that it was the first time I got to share it with my mom, as well as my Uncle Bob, Aunt Margot, and cousin Laura. As if that wasn’t enough, I also got to go camping with my brother Marc, his wife Shannon, and dog Tius! It was a great weekend, the downpour we got caught in did not damper my spirits.

Mid-Ohio was sooooooooooo much fun. I’m really not into cars, but the whole experience at Mid Ohio was a blast. The grounds were beautiful and I could definitely pick out a car or 2 that I would like to have or at least drive. Since I can be quite competitive, it was also fun picking a favorite to win the races we watched. And the best part was being with family

What about Road America?

Road America was great, actually it might have been my favorite because the Can-Am cars were so amazing. The Ferrari F1 car was also amazing because you could listen to it all the way around the track. Road America is also on of my favorite tracks. The only downside to the event was putting up with my dad :-P.
